El Clasico in the Copa del Rey Final! At Estadio de Mestalla in Valencia the FC Barcelona will play against Real Madrid. The Catalonians are in crisis. Against Los Blancos they will have to rise up and play their season best. It could be the only chance to win a trophy this season for Barca. Definitely not an easy one – Real is in a roll!

Barcelona are going through a rough patch right now. The Catalonians lost the last two games – first Atletico Madrid beat them in the quarterfinal of the Champions League (1:1 and 0:1), then they surprisingly lost the league encounter against Granada (0:1) last Saturday. Because of that defeat, Barcelona slipped away from the chances to win the Spanish championship, being one point behind Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid (which have one more game to play). Two losses in a row are extremely disappointing for a team like Barcelona. Is this already a crisis? It seems like it. The upcoming Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid will be very challenging for Barcelona. It is basically the only realistic chance for the Catalonians to win a trophy this season. Who would have thought that!

Real Madrid

Real Madrid can be satisfied at the moment – they are in the Champions League semifinal and are still in play for the Spanish championship. In the CL they lost the second leg against Borussia Dortmund 2:0 but the 3:0 home victory was enough to advance. Every cloud has a silver lining. In the Spanish Primera Division Real are second, having the same amount of points as their local rival, Atletico (which have one game more to play). The 4:0 win against Almeria in the last league round is a good sign before the upcoming game. They seem to be in a good shape and well prepared for the showdown against the Catalonians.
